4-H Program Advisory Committee

The Program Advisory Committee is composed of a representative and diverse group of youth, volunteers, community partners and staff to discuss programmatic topics related to the California 4-H Youth Development Program and prepare recommendations for the State 4-H Director.

Responsible to: Sharon Junge, State 4-H Director, skjunge@ucdavis.edu or 530-754-8518

Committee Member Responsibilities

  1. Identify “big picture” issues of the California 4-H YDP that need to be addressed
  2. Review county funding proposals from the 4-H “Request For Resources” and determine priorities for The California 4-H Foundation fundraising efforts
  3. Provid input on various programmatic issues facing the California 4-H YDP
  4. Gather input on agenda items before meetings and express ideas and input of constituents and stakeholders
  5. Attend scheduled Program Advisory Committee meetings
  6. Complete Action Items assigned at meetings
  7. Report to constituents on items discussed and decided at meetings
