Animation Lab: Animation with Macromedia Flash

Goals

  • Orient user to basic animation techniques
  • Learn basic animation techniques using Macromedia Flash.
  • Create a 30-60 second animation to be shown to the public.

Description

Ever watched a cartoon on the internet and thought "I wonder if I could do that?" You can! You will receive 3 hours of hands-on training using Macromedia Flash. After this workshop, you'll be able to digitally draw objects, make them move, add sound, and add them to the web! Final animations will be shown during a SLC assembly. Participant Expectations: Intermediate to advanced computer skills, tech savvy, creativity, and ability to experiment with advanced software.


Lesson Plan

This is for a 3 hour workshop (double workshop) or a track. It is not recommended as a 1 hour workshop.

Note: Ideal ratio of presenters to students would be 1/5 or more.  The presenters and helpers need to know Flash very well as there will be alot of questions and struggles! ~Jess, 2006

  • Recommended as a double session or track
  • Experienced Flash designer is a must!
